Meet the Chaparral Brush Truck
The Chaparral is the wildland, first response, quick attack truck. It is designed to be the first truck out of the station giving other engines the crucial time to setup.
The Chaparral series of fine fuel grass rigs consists of five models varying with the chassis and the size of the tank.
The B-3 Chaparral Brush Truck – Type 6 Wildland Engine
The B-3 is built on a chassis with a 60-64 inch cab to axle measurement, dual rear wheels and 13,500 GVW with a 300 gallon poly tank. The B-3 is typically built on a Ford F-350 chassis*.
The B-4 Chaparral Brush Truck – Type 5 Wildland Engine
The B-4 is built on a chassis with a 60-64 inch cab to axle measurement, dual rear wheels and 15,000 GVW or higher. The B-4 has a 400 gallon poly tank and is usually built on a Ford F-450 or F-550 chassis*. The B-4 has the same footprint as the B-3 with a larger tank.
The B-5 Chaparral Brush Truck – Type 5 Wildland Engine
The B-5 is built on a chassis with a 84 inch cab to axle measurement, dual rear wheels and 18,000 GVW or higher. The B-5 has a 500 gallon poly tank and is usually built on a Ford F-550 chassis*. The B-5 is our most popular Chaparral.
The B-6 Chaparral Brush Truck – Type 5 Wildland Engine
The B-6 is built on a chassis with a 84 inch cab to axle measurement, dual rear wheels and 18,000 GVW or higher. The B-6 has a 600 gallon poly tank and is usually built on a Ford F-550 chassis*. The B-6 has the same footprint as the B-5 with a larger tank.
The B-8 Chaparral Brush Truck – Type 4 Wildland Engine
The B-8 is built on a mid-sized chassis. The B-8 has a standard 800 gallon poly tank, upgradeable to 1000, 1250 and 1500 gallons depending on the chassis size and GVW.
